The Pentagon is set to send new weapons worth $775 million to Ukraine to help fight Russian troops. The fresh weapons aid comes as Ukraine has been trying to regain territory it has lost to Russia in the war. However, Ukraine lacks the troops, armoured vehicles and powerful close-range weapons to overcome the Russian threat. Experts feel the latest package appears to be the first step toward addressing the shortcomings in Ukraine’s weapons arsenal.
