US Military News – PHILIPPINE SEA (Nov. 15, 2023) Rear Adm. Carlos Sardiello, commander, Carrier Strike Group (CSG) ONE, discusses CSG One’s role in Multi-Large Deck Event (MLDE) and Annual Exercise (ANNUALEX) 2023.
MLDE with the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group, Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) is designed to advance combined readiness between JMSDF and the U.S. Navy while simultaneously demonstrating our commitment to our partners and allies in the Indo-Pacific region.
ANNUALEX is a multilateral exercise conducted by naval elements of the Royal Australian, Royal Canadian, JMSDF, and U.S. navies to demonstrate naval interoperability and a joint commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific. Vinson, flagship of CSG ONE, is deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific. #usnavy #navy #navystatus
