Ukraine War
Before speaking at the G7 summit, Ukraine’s president warned Russian pilots that he would find those responsible for multiple explosions that rocked the capital Kyiv over the weekend. Officials there say more than a dozen Russian cruise missiles hit the city. The strikes damaged residential buildings and a nearby school on Sunday, killing one and wounding several others. Meanwhile, authorities on Monday warned civilians to urgently evacuate the eastern city of Lysychansk in the Donbas region as Russian forces push to capture it. Russian shelling had particularly devastating consequences for one man in the town of Irpin, near Kyiv. He lost his wife and two children in a mortar attack. Now he is seeking justice for what he believes was a deliberate targeting of civilians.
