“UK Forces Aren’t Big Enough!”
Former senior military intelligence officer, Philip Ingram, says the UK armed forces are not “big enough to deal with the emerging threat”.
“At Ukranian assumptions, the Russians have lost over half a million soldiers… 73,000 aren’t going to last very long.”
European military leaders and diplomats are worried about the size of Britain’s army and its ability to handle a major conflict.
The government plans to decrease the army from 82,000 to 73,000 by 2025, which would be the smallest it has been since the time of Napoleon. Currently, the army is close to reaching that number, with only 73,190 soldiers, as more are leaving than joining
