Garrett Falcon 20
This striking photograph captures the Garrett Falcon 20, a French business jet with a one-of-a-kind feature: an afterburner. In 1988, the aircraft served as a testbed for the United States Coast Guard. Known by the name, The Guardian, it was intended to be used in rescue and drug trafficking missions. The successful test flight used a Garrett TFE1042 engine. It also marked the first plane of its type using an afterburner.
