Ukraine President Zelensky said that his army is fighting ferocious battles with Russian forces in the eastern region of Donetsk. Ukraine’s General Staff claims Russia launched 18 airstrikes against the country over the past 24 hours. Ukrainian forces claim to have destroyed a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft in Odesa and a Ka-52 attack helicopter in Kherson. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Intelligence head, Kyrylo Budanov said Russia is deploying its “cannon fodder” who are “getting ready for street fighting”. A CNN report reveals CIA Director William Burns met President Zelensky and other officials earlier this month. Putin reiterated claims that Ukraine might be preparing to use a radiological “dirty bomb”.
