Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Russia is throwing all its available resources at Donbas. Ukraine’s Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar claims that Russia is looking to reach the Donetsk border by the end of this year. Ukraine’s military said that Russian forces launched 23 artillery and mortar strikes on three border communities of Sumy region. Ukraine said that three districts came under heavy Russian fire in the Kharkiv region. Kyiv also said that Russian troops are holding the defence in the Novopavlivka and Kherson directions. Ukraine’s military said that they have killed over 620 Russian troops in the last 24 hours. Dmytro Kuleba has said that Kyiv is aiming to hold a peace summit by the end of February. Kuleba added that the US-made Patriot defence systems will be installed in Ukraine within six months. Zelensky says he sought India’s help in implementing a “peace formula” during a phone call with Indian PM Modi. Lavrov has given Ukraine an ultimatum to fulfil Moscow’s demands or let the Russian army decide the fate of Ukraine. Lavrov also said the Western world will see a “very serious reduction” in its ability to “steer the world economy” in the near future. A Russian politician, who has previously criticised Putin, has been found dead after a mysterious fall from a hotel in India.
