Russian-installed governor of Kherson says heavy fighting is underway as the Ukrainian military is trying to advance north of the region. Ukraine President Zelensky claims fierce fighting between the Russian and Ukrainian troops is underway in Donetsk Oblast. Russia1 news anchor Olga Skabeyeva cut short war correspondent Dmitry Steshin’s appearance on the pro-Kremlin channel after he claimed Moscow’s forces are “advancing 3 centimetres a day” in Donetsk. Ukrainian forces claimed that over 700 Russian soldiers had been killed in combat on November 7, mostly near Bakhmut and Avdiivka. Meanwhile, the US reportedly nudged Zelensky to soften preconditions for negotiations with Russia. The Secretary of Russia’s Security Council, Nikolay Patrushev, is in Tehran to meet high-ranking Iranian officials.
