Iran Adds 1,000 New Drones To Its Arsenal As It Braces For More Friction With Israel And US
Iranian army received a delivery of 1,000 new drones on Monday as the country prepares for potential increased tensions with Israel and the United States. The drones were distributed across various locations in Iran and are reported to have advanced stealth and anti-fortification capabilities. These drones feature a range of over 2,000 kilometres, significant destructive power, and the ability to penetrate defence systems with a low Radar cross-section. Meanwhile, Iran held discussions with European powers like Britain, France, and Germany regarding Tehran’s nuclear program. This marked the second round of talks in less than two months, during which the leaders addressed mutual concerns, including the lifting of sanctions, the nuclear issue, and the growing regional instability. They agreed to continue their dialogue. Meanwhile, Iran is set to sign a “comprehensive strategic partnership” agreement with Russia on January 17 to strengthen its position.
