Prison Break 1944
In August 1944 a daring raid was launched from besieged Brest in France. A company of German paratroopers went 30 miles behind US lines to rescue 130 of their comrades who had been captured by the French resistance. In one of the trickiest missions of the war, the Green Devils, so nicknamed by the British who respected the German paratrooper’s fighting qualities, pulled off an extraordinary coup.
