France has announced that it is sending several artillery weapons including CAESAR howitzers to Ukraine. French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed that the country is sending anti-tank missiles and howitzers to Ukraine. The announcement comes after Zelensky made repeated requests to the West to provide heavier weapons to fight Russia. Experts say that the West’s support to Ukrainian military will be crucial in the next phase of war against Russia. The CAESAR is a 155mm howitzer mounted on a six-wheeled truck chassis, capable of firing shells at ranges of more than 40km.
