Zelensky has said that Russian forces have faced “irreparable losses” since the beginning of the invasion. Reports suggest that Russia is building up troops and equipment in at least three border areas. Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has accused Russia of carrying out genocide in Ukraine. Biden’s remarks were welcomed by Zelensky, who applauded what he called “true words of a true leader”. Meanwhile, the US govt is expected to announce another $750 million in military assistance for Ukraine. Zelensky has proposed swapping detained pro-Russian politician Viktor Medvedchuk for Ukrainian prisoners of war held by Russia.
