Ukraine is preparing for a counteroffensive to liberate the Kherson region, which has been occupied by Russian forces. A report in The Economist claims the operation will take place from the west, near Mykolaiv, and the north, from cities such as Zelenodolsk. An unnamed Ukrainian military official claimed that advanced units of the Ukrainian forces are within a kilometer of Kherson’s suburbs.
