TOW 2B Missile Vs Russian T-72 Tank
Most TOW missiles operate in direct attack mode. However the TOW 2B, operates in a ‘flyover shoot down’ top attack mode. The 2B model features a dual-mode target sensor and carries two simultanteously-detonating warheads forming EFP’s, explosively formed penetrators. One or both strike the tank at it’s top, where the armor is thinnest.
