Russian Zala Lancet Destroys Lots Ukraine’s High-Value Assets
Russian airborne troops utilized Zala reconnaissance drones to locate camouflaged M777 self-propelled artillery systems on the right bank of the Dnieper River. The drones relayed the coordinates to artillery operators, triggering a Lancet missile barrage that precisely destroyed American-made M777 howitzers, tanks, and French Caesar self-propelled guns. These highly lethal drones have an 80% success rate.
Lancet drones have surged in production, proving to be a cost-effective method for Russia to target Ukraine’s high-value Western equipment. Their long-range capability, striking from over 30 miles away, makes them one of Russia’s most effective weapons in the conflict, posing a significant threat to Ukrainian artillery and air defenses. Although Ukraine continuously seeks ways to mitigate their impact, the proliferation of these drones remains a major concern.
