The recent coup in Niger is causing ripple effects that are reverberating throughout Western Africa and possibly the rest of the world. More NATO-aligned African countries are threatening to invade to restore the previous government in Niger while other neighbors like Mali and Burkina Faso have stated they will support the coup government.
