Russian paratroopers claim to have repelled an attack by the Ukrainian army in the Kherson region. Ukraine says Russian troops launched 3 missiles, 21 airstrikes and 104 MLRS salvos over the past 24 hours. Ukraine says Russia fired eight S-300 missiles at Mykolaiv, hitting a high-rise apartment building, killing one person. Meanwhile, EU, France and NATO have ruled out nuclear weapons if Russia uses nukes against Ukraine. The deputy secretary of Russia’s Security Council has said that Ukraine joining NATO would lead to a third world war. Russian President Putin met his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in Astana, Kazakhstan.
