Heavy rain and Russian resistance seem to have slowed down Ukraine’s counteroffensive to recapture territories from Putin’s troops. In the strategic town of Kupiansk, inclement weather is hampering Ukranian attacks on Russian troops from the Oskil river’s west bank. The UK’s defence ministry has said Russia appears to be targeting dams to flood Ukrainian military crossing points. This week, Ukrainian artillery targetted the woods beyond the east of the town but tensions prevailed as a Russian drone was spotted overhead.
