Normandy Front
General Dwight D. Eisenhower (SHAEF) and Elwood R. Quesada General (commander of the 9th Tactical Air Command) flew over the Norman front aboard a P-51 C fighter modified to accommodate a second passenger. They land on the advanced landing ground (ALG) A-2 located at Cricqueville-en-Bessin.
